The American Sailing Association (ASA) has been the leader in U.S. sailing education for two decades. The association has grown to include an international network of more than 200 professionally accredited sailing schools. More than 200,000 students have graduated from ASA schools and clubs since 1983.

ASA certification is approved as a safe boating course by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by the U. S. Coast Guard.

The ASA is a member of the International Sailing Schools Association.
