The American Edition covers the curriculum and learning objectives of the American Sailing Association's Coastal Navigation Standard. This course is recommended for residents of the United States, or individuals who do most of their boating in U.S. coastal or inland waters. The Canadian Edition covers the Canadian Yachting Association's Coastal Navigation Standard. This courses is recommended for Canadian boaters or those who do most of their boating in Canadian coastal or inland waters.

The registration fee for the American Edition is in U.S. dollars. The fee for the Canadian Edition is in Canadian dollars.
