Recognition for Completing The Basic Coastal Navigation Course

Upon completing all of the sections of the course material, including all quizzes, Plot It! Exercises, and the Practice Cruise, you can apply for and receive a Certificate of  Completion, signed and dated by your instructor.

When you're ready, send an email to your instructor informing he or she that you have completed the course. Please include a photo of Chart 9997 with your plotted Practice Cruise from Section 7.

Within a day or two we'll send you an email including your personalized certificate as a printable pdf document.

Writing the Sail Canada Exam

We can also help you to make the necessary arrangements to write the Sail Canada Basic Coastal Navigation exam. This includes being registered with Sail Canada and receiving the appropriate seal and entry for you Sail Canada logbook.  Click here for more information on writing the Sail Canada exam.
